Activities

Excursions to trade fairs, conferences and companies are an integral part of our degree programme. In this way, we offer our students the opportunity to gain practical experience and insights outside the university and to critically reflect on the knowledge they have learnt in the professional world.

Our diverse excursion destinations include the leading trade fairs BAU and LIGNA, the International Timber Construction Forum in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the companies SchwörerHaus, WeberHaus and MüllerBlaustein, as well as prominent buildings such as Stuttgart 21.

Excursions lasting several days can generally be subsidised by the university's support association. The standard amount per student is EUR 25 (domestic excursions) or EUR 40 (excursions abroad). Association members receive a higher subsidy. Further information on the work and funding practice of the association can be found here.
