Mentoring programme at our university

What is the Buddy/Mentoring Programme?

Do you have a lot of questions at the beginning of your studies, or are you just about to start your career? The Buddy/Mentoring Programme at Rottenburg University of Applied Sciences supports you with your personal skills and organisational questions. In a matching process, contact is established with a mentor who is as suitable as possible, and a mentoring agreement is defined for a specific period of time. The buddy or mentor will then listen to you during your studies and support you with suggestions and their own experiences.

Possible mentoring relationships

  1. Peer-to-peer during studies: first and second semesters are advised by higher semesters (from the 3rd semester).
  2. Alumni support higher semesters as mentors when starting their careers.

Advantages for mentees and mentors

Mentees are supervised by mentors who are always more highly qualified than their mentees. A mentee benefits from the practical experience gained during their studies or the professional experience of the mentor, who, in turn, benefits from the exchange of soft skills with the mentee.
