Health insurance moreless
Student health insurance is an important point. You must take out statutory student health insurance for the duration of your studies. Please register with a statutory health insurance company or, if you already have statutory health insurance, have your insurance adjusted accordingly. From 1 January 2022, the health insurance company will send your insurance confirmation digitally to the university (with a corresponding delay). You no longer need to submit registration forms. In return, the university will send the following data to the health insurance company: Date of enrolment/exmatriculation.
If you do not fulfil your obligation to your health insurance company in accordance with § 254 SGB V, you may be deregistered in accordance with § 62 Para. 2 No. 5 of the State Higher Education Act (LHG). The notification of late payment by the health insurance company is also automatically transmitted digitally to the university, as is any default in payment that no longer exists.
Important:
If you have private health insurance, you must be exempted from the student insurance obligation by a statutory health insurance provider.
