Bachelor thesis
The Bachelor's degree programme ends with a final project, the Bachelor's thesis. This involves independently solving practical and scientific issues.
The Bachelor's thesis, in conjunction with the practical semester and the compulsory elective subjects, enables students to customise their profile.
Information on registering for the Bachelor's thesis moreless
Please note that registration for the Bachelor’s thesis must take place no later than 3 months after passing all remaining modules (Section 25(1), sentence 3 of the Study Regulations).
To determine the deadline, 31 March applies for examinations in the winter semester examination period and 31 August for examinations in the summer semester examination period, unless the examination results are announced after these dates.
Please register your Bachelor’s thesis in good time!
The three-month completion period begins on the registration deadline (§25(5), sentence 1, StuPO). Failure to submit the Bachelor’s thesis by the deadline will result in a fail (§12(1), sentence 2, StuPO).
Upon request, the Examination Board will arrange for the Bachelor’s thesis to be issued in good time (Section 25(3), sentence 4 of the Study Regulations). In this case, however, the Examination Board will specify the topic.
We would also like to point out that individual registration deadlines are no longer sent out in writing.
