M.Sc. Forest Management moreless
Admission to the Master’s programme in Forest Management requires a degree in Forest Management or Forest Science from a German university, or a comparable degree from a foreign university comprising 210 ECTS credits. Twenty places are allocated each year. If the number of applicants is below this figure, no selection process will take place. This is currently (July 2025) the case.
Bachelor's students with 180 ECTS credits can complete the missing 30 credits before or during their Master's programme. Individual counselling is required! Please contact the head of the degree programme as early as possible. Recognition of academic achievements will be assessed on a case-by-case basis after admission.
Prospective students with a Bachelor's degree from abroad must enclose the certificate of recognition from the Studienkolleg Konstanz with their application. No admission can be granted without this certificate's recognition and a corresponding proof of German language proficiency.
APPLYING AS AN INTERNATIONAL APPLICANT
As an International applicant with foreign degrees you are kindly asked to take the following aspects into account:
The study program will be held in German language. Sufficient German language skills are a precondition for your successful application.
In accordance with our general rules of admission you are therefore requested to submit a recognized language certificate, either TestDaF language exam, Goethe Certificate C 2 or other certificates according to § 4 AuswahlS along with your application dossier.
Before submitting your application you also need to have examined and approved your foreign degrees by the “Center of International Students” ("Studienkolleg") at the HTWG Konstanz University of Applied Sciences.
The “Center of International Students” ("Studienkolleg") will validate your records free of charge to make sure that you meet all necessary qualifications and provide you with an official certificate of recognition labeled as Zeugnisanerkennung.

As soon as you are in possession of the needed proofs mentioned above (language certificate and Zeugnisanerkennung) you can apply via our online application form.
An intern Examination Board will finally review all incoming applications and draw up a shortlist.
You will be informed of the status of your application as soon as possible.
M.Sc. Resource-Efficient Building moreless
The prerequisite for admission to the Master's in Resource-Efficient Building is a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Wood Management and Technology, Renewable Energies and related technically orientated disciplines.
Applicants who are about to complete their Bachelor's degree are also welcome. They may be granted provisional admission.
Prospective students from non-EU countries must enclose a certificate of recognition from the Studienkolleg Konstanz with their application. Applications can be submitted to any of the three participating universities.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Above-average degree in a science or technology-orientated degree programme.
- Motivational meetings are held, which can also be conducted online.
