The degree programme at a university of applied sciences is generally very practice-orientated and hands-on. Numerous excursions and field exercises provide insights into future professional fields. Project and group work also teach social skills that are essential for working life, in addition to the specialised content. The involvement of lecturers who come directly from professional practice and the professional experience of all professors guarantee a sound practical orientation.

The integrated practical semester, in particular, enables students to apply the knowledge they have acquired during their studies in a practical setting. It also provides an opportunity to establish initial contacts with potential employers and to identify topics for their Bachelor's thesis.

Previous graduates have been able to open up interesting professional fields or gain further qualifications in various Master's degree programmes.

The HFR is a small and informal university. This, as well as the design of the degree programme as a so-called half course with a maximum of 40 students, guarantees comprehensive support. There are no anonymous mass events at the HFR – we know all our students personally.
