Compulsory elective modules

In the 6th and 7th semesters, 1 block consisting of two compulsory elective modules (10 ECTS credits per block) must be taken. At the end of the degree programme, 20 ECTS credits must have been earned from compulsory elective modules.

6TH SEMESTER:

Block 2:

  • FW.47 Climate relevance of the forestry and timber industry

Block 3:

  • FW.34 Nature conservation and landscape management
  • FW.35 Life cycle assessment and ecosystem services

Block 4:

  • FW.43 Wildlife management
  • FW.37 GIS analyses

Block 5: 

  • FW.45 Free elective module

7TH SEMESTER:

Block 6:

  • FW.33 GIS applications
  • FW.52 Structural element analysis in forest and open land

Block 7:

  • FW.38 Arboriculture and tree nurseries
  • FW.49 Fungi in the forest ecosystem

Block 8:

  • FW.39 People and the environment
  • FW.41 Agroecology and regional development

Block 9:

  • FW.40 Management and timber industry
  • FW.50 Project and process management

Block 10:

  • FW.45 Free elective module

The "free elective module" only serves to recognise credits already earned from a previous degree programme or another semester/degree programme/another university. Here, too, 10 ECTS must have been completed or be completed during the semester.
