What is SENCE
Idea and concept
A study and research programme covering the central aspects of renewable energy technology and management has been compiled as a condensate of the most important subject areas and ongoing research activities. This leads to SENCE in a cooperation between the universities of Rottenburg (Biomass Competence Centre), Stuttgart (Solar Energy Competence Centre) and Ulm (Solar Thermal Competence Centre). The Rottenburg University of Applied Sciences coordinates the administrative aspects of the SENCE Master's programme. For this purpose, the overall programme management is assigned to it.
Structure and method
SENCE is based on the foundation of three equal teaching areas: Natural sciences, technical sciences and economic and social sciences. They are reflected in the various phases and modules of the degree programme. A particular focus of the degree programme is self-directed, project-orientated work and research. Students practise this at the cooperating universities or in the private sector.
SENCE team
More than 30 lecturers at SENCE ensure that the range of courses on offer in the field of sustainable energy management and energy technology is competent and up to date. These include professors from the relevant university disciplines and other research institutions, as well as experts from business and industry.
