Internship abroad
Students who want to expand their professional and personal skills in an international environment and improve their future career prospects can complete an internship abroad during their studies. The internationalisation officers of the individual degree programmes provide support in the search for an internship, while the HFR International Office gives advice and helps with questions regarding organisation and funding.
For the BSc degree programmes, an internship abroad is particularly suitable in the practical semester, i.e. in the fifth semester. Part or all of the fifth semester can be spent abroad. The minimum length of stay is two months, but we recommend planning for three months. Total duration of the internship semester: 20 weeks and at least 95 attendance days.
However, an internship abroad can also be planned at a different point in the degree programme; we recommend consulting with the internationalisation officers in the respective degree programmes.
